spring 2021 final:
the racial grotesque
This patch makes use of Audre Lorde's speech,
"Your Silence Will Not Protect You", Ralph Bakshi's 1975 blaxploitation film, Coonskin, as well as Marlon Riggs' 1994 film, Black is... Black Ain't, reflecting on the racial grotesque in everyday life, past & present, inside and outside the institutions. This melting of the queer black avant-garde with scenes from the aftermath of the Detroit 67 riots is an ode to how everything I have been inspired by things I have discovered this year and cheers to recouping from the first year of graduate school.

The visuals are attributed to the use of jit.world/jit.movie, which are used substantially with Vizze as a means to sharpen the piece, visually and contrast the black and white context of the videos. I added the ezadc object to help influence the visual when I speak, as I speak. Adding a deeper flare, disassociating the reality of the piece, are we in 1965 or 2020 or even 1786...
